IBAMA Expert Hearing and Workshop in July 2019
In July 2019, Johannes Dimas gave a presentation followed by several panel discussions and hearings at the International Workshop on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for Offshore Wind Farms at IBAMA's headquarters in Brasilia (Brazil).
IBAMA is the federal "Brazilian Agency of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources" and is involved in the environmental licensing of offshore wind farms.
International Workshop on Environmental Impact Assessment for Offshore Wind Farms
The workshop in Brasilia (Brazil) was carried out by IBAMA with support by the EU-Brazil Sector Dialogues Support Facility at IBAMA's headquarters on July 2nd and 3rd 2019.
The two-day workshop contributed to the development of a new standard (Termo de Referência) for the technical improvement of the federal environmental licensing.
Johannes Dimas was invited by IBAMA to present the process in Germany and to answer questions as a panellist for the two-day expert interviews.
Standard for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
The results of the workshop and the hearings were used to develop a standard for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for offshore wind farms (Termo de Referência). The standard has been published on the IBAMA website in November 2020:
