International Workshop on Environmental Impact Assessment for Offshore Wind Farms

The workshop in Brasilia (Brazil) was carried out by IBAMA with support by the EU-Brazil Sector Dialogues Support Facility at IBAMA's headquarters on July 2nd and 3rd 2019. IBAMA is the federal "Brazilian Agency of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources” and is involved in the environmental licensing of offshore wind farms.

The two-day workshop contributed to the development of a new standard (Termo de Referência) for the technical improvement of the federal environmental licensing.

Johannes Dimas was invited by IBAMA to present the process in Germany and to answer questions as a panellist for the two-day expert interviews.
