Brazil's PV market in a race against time!
The year 2022 is again record-breaking. Expiring subsidies lead to pull-forward effects. The long-term outlook remains cautiously positive.
Expansion is increasingly driven by the free market. With around 12 gigawatts or 69 percent of installed capacity, distributed PV generation is outstripping centralized generation. Meltdown of subsidies creates pressure on advanced projects. Suppliers and service providers could reach their capacity limits.

Chile: Energy transition as an opportunity
Chile's energy sector is reinventing itself. The government is ambitiously driving forward the energy transition. The system change will be accompanied by the expansion of renewable energies and power grids as well as investments in energy efficiency. Innovative solutions for storage, off-grid systems and green fuels are also needed. In the long term, fossil-fuel power plants and their infrastructure will have to be scaled back.

The objective of the workshop was the technical improvement of the environmental licensing for offshore wind farms. Johannes Dimas was invited by IBAMA to present the process in Germany and to be panellist for the two-day expert interviews.
